Mijn vriendin en ik hebben hier een priveles gehad. Ik kan zeggen dat het geweldig was! Wij beiden hadden een beetje ervaring, zij was beter dan ik. Tomàs kon ons goede feedback geven die aangepast was op niveau. We kregen goede input over de techniek, dit allemaal onder het genot van een magisch uitzicht. Surfing with these guys ( Cecílio & Kevin — красавчик) was honestly one of the brightest highlights of my Madeira trip 🌊 I still can’t believe I managed to stand up on the board from the very first try 😄 Huge thanks to the instructors — they are absolutely incredible. Super supportive, always pointing out mistakes in a chill way, explaining everything in super simple language, helping every single step, and somehow making you believe you actually can surf 😂 Now I have a serious problem… I’m obsessed with surfing and already mentally planning my move to Madeira 🏄‍♀️ You guys are amazing!!! Świetne miejsce! Braliśmy udział w lekcji grupowej - trener Tomas miał bardzo dobrą organizację prowadzenia zajęć i dawał cenne wskazówki. Kontakt ze szkołą był bardzo dobry i szybki. Plaża w Seixal oferuje bardzo dobre warunki surfingowe oraz piękne widoki! Duży plus za zdjęcia wliczone w cenę zajęć:) Jeśli wrócimy na Maderę, na pewno skorzystamy z tego miejsca ponownie! ~ Marta F

Tolle Surfschule. Cecilio hat uns alles für Einsteiger in nur ca. einer dreiviertel Stunde zeigen können und danach gleich mit Humor, Leichtigkeit und wertvollen Tipps sogar alle erfolgreich, zumindest für jemanden der noch nie auf einem Surfboard stand, zum Surfen gebracht. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht. Und an dem schönen Strand wars gleich zweimal so schön! Danke nochmal Cecilio! ~ Tommi 9

Absolutely loved the experience, the coaches were awesome. Huge thanks and shoutout to Gonçalo! My man not only new how to teach surfing, but also new all the surfs up references! Cody Maverick and Chicken Joe forever! They pieces of advice were on point and the vibes were totally on top! Very good experience for beginners and guys who just want to have fun, cause that’s the whole point (Gonçalo said so and I agree). Another coach Cecílio was super friendly, gave great tips and supported us through the whole session. Very good explanations and positive attitude to all the students! I mean I could thank them forever, both did an amazing job and they truly love what they do. Absolute recommendation for surf lovers and the ones who want to try! I had multiple lessons with Jason, one with Kiki and one with Kevin. All three of them were great! From the start it was a good atmosphere, all the coaches really enjoy teaching. You can try on multiple wetsuits and shoes if the first ones don’t fit and they ask for your surf level to make the group lessons fitting for everyone. There are safety instructions before entering the water and in the water they keep on checking if you are okay with everything or if you need adjustments. During the lesson you get personal feedback and tips and help choosing and catching the waves. The communication in English was also very easy. The surf spots have incredibly beautiful scenery. I really enjoyed every lesson. A big thank you to everyone at Madeira Surf Center and I will definitely come back! ~ Marie W

I highly recommend this surf school—10/10! I took two lessons in the summer at different spots and returned this winter for another lesson, and already planning to take more with them! Before getting in the water, the instructors thoroughly explain the technique and how everything works, followed by practice on the beach. Their personalized approach and positive atmosphere in the water make the experience enjoyable and productive. They consistently provide valuable advice, and I’ve noticed significant progress in my skills. The group sizes are not too big, so the instructors can give individual attention. They also ensure there’s enough space in the water to avoid crowding with other surfers or swimmers. Plus, they provide high-quality equipment. ~ Andrei I

A great experience from start to finish. Before the lesson we had great communication from the company via WhatsApp, always keeping us informed and quick to respond to any queries we had. Easy to find, you are quickly kitted up then head out to the water. Jason was our instructor and he was epic - super knowledgeable, professional and clearly very passionate about surfing. I am confident he could turn me from kook to shredder in no time. He must be one of the best surfers on the island with Kevin coming close second - shout out Preston 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Очень круто! Все понравилось) в первый раз решила попробовать серфинг, забронировала групповой урок (65 евро). Может быть повезло из-за погоды (было чуть пасмурно), но большую часть времени на пляже не было других групп, а в моей группе было всего 6 человек, и мы почти сразу пошли в воду. Super Erfahrung. Selten so einen entspannten „Guide“ (Grüße an Tomás) gehabt. Es wurde alles wunderbar erklärt, persönliche Tipps begeben, gelobt und nach allen 5 Teilnehmenden geschaut. Ausrüstung war super. Bilder auch, nur leider keines von meiner Begleitung als sie auf der Welle stand, aber das kann mal passieren. ~ Sup. d

Die Surflehrer waren super freundlich und kompetent. Die Technik wurde verständlich erklärt und Fehler unmittelbar korrigiert. Lediglich die Wellen waren an dem Tag nicht ganz so gut, aber dafür können die Surflehrer natürlich nichts. Am besten außerhalb der Saison buchen, da es mit zu vielen Teilnehmenden irgendwann eng auf dem Wasser wird. Klare Empfehlung! ~ Jonas R

I had a great surf lesson! The instructor Gonçalo explained everything really clearly, focused on safety, and still taught me new things like maneuvering on the wave and reading which way to surf. He was patient, encouraging, and gave helpful personal feedback. The booking process was super smooth too — Laura sent all important info the night before and asked for height/weight and surf experience, which made check-in quick and easy. The lesson was well-structured, though a bit slow at times with everyone taking turns, but the group was really friendly and supportive. The beach is beginner-friendly despite the big waves, which give you long rides once you get past the break. It’s a little on the pricier side, but with free photos, a great location, and such a positive experience, it was definitely worth it. ~ Bianca D

I took three surfing lessons at Madeira Surf Center and can only recommend it to everybody! I took lessons with Louis and Gonçalo and both of them were great teachers. They look out for everybody (we were max. 6 people per group) so everybody is safe. They also adjust the teaching to everybody‘s level even if there are different levels within the group and give personalized feedback. There is a quick briefing in the beginning and then you spend most of the time in the water. Everybody was very nice at the surf shop and they all want you to have fun and also make some progress on your surfing skills. On top you get some cool photos taken by Laura! Note: please don‘t take surfing lessons in the ocean if you cannot swim. ~ Magdalena F

Una bellissima esperienza! Prima lezione di surf svolta alla Praia do Seixal, un luogo incantevole, circondato da scogliere ricche di vegetazione. L'istruttore gentile, coinvolgente, preparato e accorto, ti aiuta a capire come fare e ti corregge negli errori. Tutto svolto in sicurezza e anche con la pioggia non è stato un problema, anzi ha reso l'esperienza concorda più suggestiva. Sicuramente da rifare! ~ Francesca F

Der Kurs bei Petro war einfach super. Er hat sich um jeden einzelnen gekümmert, viele Tips gegeben und geholfen. Die Schule war auch mega, super Lehrer, super Inhaber und Mitarbeiter. Man konnte Fragen stellen und die Atmosphäre war genial. Die Mitarbeiterin hat super Bilder gemacht von den Kursen… Sehr zu empfehlen wenn Ihr nach Madeira fliegt und einen Kurs besuchen wollt 😊 ~ Jay J

10/10! Sie haben uns ermutigt und gepuscht. Undere Instukteuren Louis und Ruben waren sehr freundlich und sie haben sich dem Level angepasst und sind einzeln auf uns eingegangen. Ich durfte auch wenn es mein erstes Mal war entsprechend meines könnens und entsprechend von dem was ich mir anvertraut habe neues ausporbieren. Kann ich jedem empfehlen, der in Madeira surfen will! ~ Janis H

Ruben is een top surf leraar. De school geeft les op 2 locaties afhankelijk van golven. De ene locatie is wat lastig het water in komen door de rotsen maar daar word je goed mee geholpen. De andere is prachtig met zwart zand en geweldige achtergrond Ruben doet met de andere instructeurs echt zijn best om je te leren surfen. ~ Freek F
